Practice and Exploration of Holistic Nursing Mode in the Activities of "High-quality Nursing Demonstration Project"

Objective To implement a full range of holistic nursing, and provide satisfied service for patients. Methods Holistic nursing included leaders taking seriously, fulfiling responsibility; strengthening training, optimizing the nursing team; accountability contract to benefit patients; strict implementation of core nursing system to guarantee the safety of nursing; strengthening the humanistic management to improve nurses' executive force; nurses' grading management for reasonable use of nursing human resources. Results Holistic nursing effectively improved the nurses' comprehensive quality and nursing quality, promoted rehabilitation of patients, reduced the medical disputes, harmonized nurse-patient relationship, substantially increased patient satisfaction. Conclusion The implementation of a full range of holistic nursing will help to realize new breakthrough of nursing management modes in clinical work, nursing management, performance assessment, salary distribution and incentive mechanism, to make nursing more close to patients, close to clinical, close to the community, and to enhance the comprehensive competitiveness of a hospital.
