Abstract

Objective To understand the prevalent features of influenza outbreak in a primary school of Qingyuan City and the control measures were evaluated so as to provide scientific evidence for prevention and control of the disease in the future. Methods The data concerning the prevalence of influenza recorded by disease control and prevention institutions at city and county levels were analyzed according to the National standard of diagnosis of influenza and the principle of management(GB15994-1995). Results There were 80 cases including 78 middle school students and 2 teachers with incidence of 27.68% and 22.22%. The H3N2 influenza virus strain was identified. Conclusion This influenza outbreak is caused by H3N2 influenza virus strain.
