Investigation on An Outbreak of Influenza A in A Middle School of Chongming County

[Objective]To analyze the epidemiological investigation of an outbreak of influenza A and the processing result,and provide scientific evidence for influenza control measures.[Methods]Field epidemiology survey data were collected and analyzed according to the clinical diagnosis,epidemiological investigation and laboratory test results.[Results]This was a outbreak caused by type A influenza virus,with 52 cases,attack rate of 4.41%(52/1179),no death case.[Conclusion]After receiving the information of outbreak,the key to control the epidemic is immediate investigation and treatment.Health care doctors of collective units(kindergarten and school)should be further educated for disease prevention knowledge and the sensitivity of outbreak report.Influenza vaccination rate needs to be improved.The lack of drug storage for influenza prevention also needs to be solved.
