A new species of Signoretia(Homoptera: Evacanthinae) from Fujian, China

Abstract

In the present paper a new species of Signoretia is described. All the type specimens are deposited in the Guizhou Agricultural College.Signoretia yangi Li, sp. nov. (figs. 1～6)Length (incl. teg. ):♂ 7. 2～7.5 mm,♀ 8.1 mm.This new species is allied to Signoretia malaya (Stal ), but can be distinguished by the following characteristics: its vertex long, broadly and roundly produced anteriorly; the anterior margin of its vertex, clayal suture and posterior margin of tegmen fuscescent; body size larger.Holotype ♂, paratypes 3 ♂♂ 1 ♀, Wuyishan, Fujian Province, China, 27- X -1974,collected by Yang Chi-kun.
