Curative Effect Observation of Fuzhengpaidu Decoction on Chronic Renal Failure(CRF)

Objective:to learn the effect of CHinese herbs compound preparation on CRF through the curative effect observation of CRF treated by Fuzhengpaidu Decoction.Methods:treated CRF with Fuzhengpaidu Decoction which is the empirical prescription of Prof.SU Sheng-shi.From 1997 48 cases have accepted the treatment.Such experimental indexes as BUN(blood urea nitrogen),BUA(blood uric acid),SCR(serum creatinine)were put into abservation.Result:Fuzhengpaidu Decoction can obviously improve the indexes such as SCR,BUN,BUA of patients with CRF during azotemia phase(P0.05),while those indexes declined in cases with CRF during renal failure phase as well as the symptoms were alleviated to some extent(P0.05).Conclusion:Fuzhengpaidu Decoction is worthy to be applied further and more widely for its little side effect and convenience.
