Abstract

With Jiangjin District of Chongqing City as an example,this paper analyzes the relationship between economic development and changes of land use structure,and elicits by using principal component analysis method that the major driving forces in the change of land use structure are socio-economic growth,agricultural output,and forest product.The specific impact of economic development on land use structure is seen in rapid increase of construction land,fast decrease of agricultural land,especially farmland area, and continual growth of forestry area.
