Abstract

Objective To investigate the clinical effect of kanghuier transparent dressing on prevention and therapy of phase Ⅰ~Ⅱ pressure ulcers. Method 89 elderly patients admitted in our hospital from February 2008 to February 2010,were included in this study. 47 cases of phaseⅠ~Ⅱ pressure ulcer patients were divided into two groups randomly:Experimental group (n=24,parts=35) and control group (n=23,parts=31). Experimental group accepted kanghuier transparent dressing for therapy of pressure ulcers. Control group accepted traditional methods. 42 patients who had not pressure ulcers were also divided into two groups randomly:Experimental group (n=21) and control group (n=21). All patients were given traditional pressure ulcers prevention nursing care. Experimental group accepted kanghuier transparent dressing according to the pressure condition. The treatment and prevention effects of two groups were compared for 4 weeks. Result The total effective rate in the experimental group was signifantly higher than that in the control group (91.7 % vs 73.9%,P 0.05); The average healing time in the experimental group was signifantly shorter than that in the control group (7.6 ± 2.3 d vs. 11.4 ± 2.9 d,P 0.05); In patients who had not pressure ulcers, incidence rate of pressure ulcers in the experimental group during 4 weeks was signifantly lower than that in the control group (28.6 % vs 61.9%,P 0.05). Conclusion Kanghuier transparent dressing can significantly prevent the occurrence of pressure sores and promote the phase Ⅰ~Ⅱ pressure ulcer healing, which is worthy of clinical application.
