Abstract
The resonance light scattering(RLS) spectra of orange G(OG) with deoxyribonucleic acid have been studied. The RLS of OG is greatly enhanced by deoxyribonucleic acid, and at a specific wavelength(356 nm),the enhanced intensity of RLS(△I) has linear relationship to the concentration of deoxyribonucleic acid. Thus a RLS method for determination of deoxyribonucleic acid is established. The linear range for determination of DNA is 0.053~1.20 μg·mL-1,the detection limit is 0.0159 μg·mL-1,and the recovery rate is 98.6%~102.3%.This method is simple, rapid and has been applied to determination of deoxyribonucleic acid in synthetic samples with satisfactory results.
