Abstract

With the transition of university orientation from research university to entrepreneurial university, the university has been shifted from subordinate supporting mechanism to leading principal organ in the Triple Helix Model of knowledge innovation.University spin-offs as carrier of knowledge innovation and entrepreneurship, their innovative system and technology transfer method is attracting increasing attention from scholars from both at home and abroad. In this paper,by using the Triple Helix Model as analysis frame and taking three leading enterprises of university spin-offs in China as cases,we explored the characteristics of their knowledge innovation systems and technological transformation, and found the scientific research strength of parent organization and the government's influence in the knowledge innovation system have a direct impact on the generation and sustainable development of university spin-offs.
