Abstract

Objective:To study the clinical efficacy of montelukast associated with budesonide on moderate asthma patients.Method:60 moderate asthma patients were involved in the present trial. The cases were randomly divided into 3 groups.Montelukast group (10 mg·d-1),budesonide group (200~400 μg·d-1) and montelukast associated with budesonide group (5 mg·d-1 + 200~400 μg·d-1),20 cases in each. The clinical efficacy of the therapy was observed. Results:There was significant amelioration concerning the forced expiratory volume in one second (FEV1) and peak expiratory flow (PEF) in Montelukast associated with budesonide group.Meanwhile, the score of the asthma symptom of the day and night was significantly reduced. Conclusion:The treatment of montelukast associated with budesonide is more effective than used respectively.Montelukast associated with budesonide can be used to treat moderate asthma effectively.
