Abstract

Objective To observe the efficacy of montelukast and budesonide on children with cough variant asthma(CVA).Methods The 97 CVA patients were randomly divided into montelukast group and budesonide group. The montelukast group was given therapy with montelukast and terbutaline tablet, and the budesonide group was given therapy with budesonide aerosol and terbutaline aerosol. Results The total effective rate of Montelukast was 91.7% and the budesonide was 95.9%,There was no significant difference in the efficacy between the two groups. Conclusion Montelukast combined with terbutaline in treatment of children with cough variant asthma,as budesonide combined with terbutaline, show equivalent clinical effects.
