Abstract
Based on 2D unsteady flow governing equations,the finite volume method is adopted to establish a flood routing mathematical model.According to different terrain conditions in detention basin and flood operational plans,the flux,water storage and real-time inundated water level of the study region are calculated with corresponding hydrodynamic methods.The influences of roadbed volume,culvert size and earthwork on flood routing in highway construction in the detention basin are also considered.The model adopts historical flood inundation data in Enxianwa detention basin to simulate the flood inundation process in two cases of natural detention and zoning detention.The simulation results are in agreement with historical observed data,which can predict the flood level variation in the detention basin after highway construction and the influence of storm on the maximal flood inundation range.This model gives research thoughts for engineering constructions and impact assessment of flood control in detention basins.
