Abstract
Since the emergence of enterprise core competency theory,it has rised discussion in global scale and become the forefront of strategic management. But,how to definite the core competency and identify core resources and capability, there is not a popular accepted analytical standard with strong operability. And the rough theory of core competency is questioned with the time passed and regarded as bubble illusory concept. The paper introduces the theory of path-dependence and it's three core ideas(path locked;innovation efficientlessness;track stubborn)and regards them as the identical standards of the definition of core competency and, analyses and tests their conclusions.
