Abstract
Song Taizong once imitated Tang system to have set up the post as Member of the Imperial Academy with Wang Zhu holding this position.Wang Zhu was then a calligrapher who made contributions to calligraphy in the early period of Song Dynasty and enjoyed some reputation.But unluckily,Wang Zhu was neglected by people after Song Dynasty in compiling documents of history.Moreover,contemporary study of Wang Zhu is inadequate such as study on his life story,death year and his skills in persuasion and learning from benefits as well as evaluation of his calligraphy all of which are worthy of further research.
