Abstract
The tribological characteristics of a high temperature self lubricating material, which is made from Ni 20Cr and 20% powders by hot pressing, are studied in detail. It shows that: sulfide eutectics are the major lubricants during high temperature friction process; friction coefficients are different and wear rates increase as temperature rises due to different matches; oxides formed on the surface of YJ2 hardmetal have great effects on the anti friction performances.
