Abstract

To investigate the clinical significance of serum CEA,CYFRA21-1 and NSE in lung cancer,287 patients and 60 normal controls in our hospital from January to October in 2009 has been studied retrospectively.The results showed that the serum levels of CEA,NSE and CYFRA2 1-1 in lung cancer patients were significantly higher than those in normal controls(P0.01).The serum CEA and positive rate in lung adenocarcinoma were higher than that of other lung cancer groups(P0.01).The serum CYFRA21-1 and positive rate in lung squamous carcinoma were higher than of other lung cancer groups and health controls(P0.01).The serum NSE in patients with small cell lung cancer were significantly higher serum than that of others(P0.01).The combined detection of CEA and CYFRA21-1 was more effective for diagnosis of NSCLC.The combined detection of CEA and NSE can improve the sensitivity for small cell lung cancer.The combined detection of serum CEA,CYFRA21-1 and NSE could be valuable in differentiating various histological type of lung cancer.
