Abstract

Objective: To evaluate the application of three tumor markers in diagnosing lung cancer to enhance the detection ratio. Methods: Using immunoradiometric assay, we measured the serum CYFRA21 1, NSE and CEA levels in 62 cases of lung cancer, 43 cases of benign pulmonary disease and 36 cases of normal controls. Results: The levels of CYFRA21 1, NSE and CEA in patients with lung cancer were significantly higher than those in group with benign lung disease and the control group( P 0.01). The sensitivity of CYFRA21 1, NSE, CEA for lung cancer were 65.4 %, 29.8 %, 48.7 %.But the sensitivity of the combined determination containing three tumor markers were 94.3 %, being higher than other in diagnosis for lung cancer. Conclusion:Serum CYFRA21 1,NSE,CEA were significantly valuable in diagnosis of lung cancer. It is suggested that the determination combined CYFRA21 1,NSE and CEA should be used in clinical work.
