Abstract
Objective To investigate the clinical efficacy and safety of post-stroke depression patients by citalopram adjuvant therapy in order to optimize the treatment on post-stroke depression patients. Methods Eighty post-stroke depression patients who were in the department of internal medicine in our hospital from December 2010 to December 2012 were chosen as the research objects, they were divided into the control group(n=35) and the observation group(n=45) according to the principle of voluntary. The patients in the control group were given amitriptyline on the basis of the basic stroke treatment, but the patients in the observation group were given citalopram on the basis of the basic stroke treatment. The clinical efficacy and safety were evaluated by Hamilton depression scale(HAMD) and the adverse reaction scale(TESS). Results The scores of HAMD of the two groups had no difference compared with before the treatment(P0.05). The scores of HAMD significant declined in the two groups, the scores of HAMD in the observation group were higher than that of the control group(82.22% vs 62.86%, P0.05).The adverse reaction rate in the observation group were lower than that of the control group(37.78% vs 62.86%, P0.05). Conclusion The clinical efficacy of post-stroke depression patients by citalopram adjuvant therapy is quite. It has the characteristics of safety and efficiency, worthy of further promotion in the clinical practice.
