Abstract

Objective To probe into the clinical effects of calcium hydroxide and indoform paste on apexification of the young permanent teeth. Methods Cases of children dental trauma treated in our department from 2003 to 2008 were collected, and there were 87 young permanent teeth in all. These cases were divided into two groups randomly, there were 45 cases in the test group, which were treated with calcium hydroxide and indoform paste,42 cases in the control group, which were treated with CH.All cases were followed every 3 months for two years. Results The effective rate was 91.12% in the test group;in the control group it was 71.43%.The difference of effects was significant statistically(P0.05).Conclusion The effects of calcium hydroxide and indoform paste on AP of the young permanent teeth is better than the control group only with CH.
