Abstract
Objective To investigate the method of apexification in the young permanent teeth and to evaluate the clinical result of the antibiotics complex paste and calcium hydrpxide used in the apexification.Methods 56 adolacent patients who had teeth pulpitis or periapical inflammation were selected,totally 64 teeth were included and divided into two groups at eandom.After root canal preparation of the 38 teeth in the test group,antibiottics complex paste was sealed in the canals to arrest inlection,then calcium hydroxide was filled in stead of it,while 26 teeth in the control group were directly obturated with calcium hydroxide in the canals.Results The total effective rate in the test group and control group were 92.11% and 69.23% respectively.The test group had a better result than the control group,the difference was significant(P0.01).Conclusion The alternative use of the antibiotics complex paste and calcium hydroxide is more effective in the apexification of the young permanent teeth.
