Abstract

Objective To investigate the induction effects of calcium hydroxide complex paste in apexification. Methods 125 young permanent teeth that root apex not yet formed with acute pulpitis or apical periodontitis without previous treatment were divided into two groups randomly,65 teeth in experiment group, the shaping of root apex induced with calcium hydroxide complex paste and another 60 teeth in comparison group induced with calcium hydroxide paste. Results The total effective rate on root apex in experiment group and comparison group were 95.38% and 78.33% there is significant difference between two groups(P0.05).Conclusions The induction effects of the calcium hydroxide complex paste in better than the calcium hydroxide paste in apexification.
