Abstract
Critic of Ming Dynasty,Hu Yinglin,in his review book on poems Shi Sou,puts forward that poetic style changes with times while poetic character becomes humbler generation by generation.This is a very penetrating literary comment,admitting the fact that poems are developing with ages.However,this critical view on poems is ironed with the prejudice of admiring the ancient deeds while humbling present achievements.
