An Analysis of the Relation between Hu Shi's Poetic Theory in His Early Years and Poems of Song-style

Hu Shi's poetic theory in his early years mainly contains: advocating the theory of Writing poems like writing essays,emphasizing narration and argument and the comments on them.The origin of his poetic theory is close to the Song poems.Commencing from the traditional resources,he promoted the New Culture Movement which was started in the poem field then spread to the whole culture field.While,his attitude to Song Poems was self-contradictory and misunderstanding sometimes,which was closely related to his whole ideology and the thought background of the rising of the nation-states.
