Determination of baicalin,chlorogenic acid,forsythin and forsythoside A in Shuanghuanglian Oral Liquid by dual-wavelength HPLC

Abstract

Objective: To establish a HPLC method for simultaneously determining baicalin,chlorogenic acid,forsythin and forsythoside A in Shuanghuanglian Oral Liquid.Methods: HPLC assay was carried out on a Hedera ODS-2 column(4.6 mm×250mm,5μm) with a column temperature at 30℃,the mobile phase was methanol-0.2% phosphoric acid solution as gradient elution with flowing rate 1.0mL/min,the detection wavelength was 324nm and 280nm.Results: The linear ranges of baicalin,chlorogenic acid,forsythin,forsythosid A were in the range of 28.525-285.25μg/mL,4.86-48.6μg/mL,2.05-20.5μg/mL,2.01-20.1μg/mL respectively,the four components showed good linear correlations(r=0.9998,0.9993,0.9993,0.9997),the average recoveries of four components were in accordance with the determination requirements.Conclusion: The method was simple,quick,reliable,accurate and very suitable to the quality control of Shuanghuanglian Oral Liquid.
