Abstract
Objective To research the rate of success of two different puncture methods in elderly patients with difficult superficial vein puncture.Methods300 elderly patients were put into two groups randomly: the tried group and the control group. The control group was given traditional vein puncture while the tried group was given improved vein puncture.ResultsThe improved vein puncture increased the success ratio obviously in elderly patients with difficult superficial vein puncture.ConclusionsThe improved vein puncture is good for the filling of superficial vein and can increase the one-time rate of success.
