Abstract

Objective To investigate the relationship between expression of MMP-14 and clinicopathologic features of cervical carcinoma. Methods The expression of MMP-14 in 42 cases of cervical carcinoma was detected by using SP immunohistochemical technique. Results The difference of MMP-14 expression between cervical carcinoma and normal cervical tissues had statistical significance(P0.05).The positive expression of MMP-14 was correlated with lymph node metastasis(P0.05),there was no relationship with pathological types and FIGO stage. Conclusions The expression of MMP-14 had a close relationship with the invasion of cervical carcinoma.Examination of expression of MMP-14 may be helpful to judge biological behavior and prognosis of cervical carcinoma.
