Historical gardens are not only in close contact with city construction, but also the carrier of city history and culture that represent the cultural charm and individual characteristics. 21 major historical gardens in Beijing, which were closely associated with the design concepts of the ancient capital, differ from historical gardens in Paris and London. They are the rich capital for Beijing to build a global city and serve as landmarks unique to the city. Historical gardens in Beijing, as city culture and ecological civilization, play an important role in passing down different information of culture and ecological civilization development between cities, building the platform for international exchanges and livelihood support and services, and promoting tourism development of city.
