A Review on Study of Ecological Marxism of Domestic Scholars over the Past 30 Years

Over the past 30 years, domestic scholars have made extensive studies on ecological Marxism, and fully affirmed its theoretical value and practical significance. However, there still exist plenty of disputes in the academic circle about the subject orientation of ecological Marxism, relations between ecological Marxism and Marxism, and path selections for promoting the Chinalization of ecological Marxism. Therefore, it is necessary for the academic circle to face up to deficiencies in current domestic study on ecological Marxism, integrate the study of ecological Marxism with domestic environmental protection, sustainable economic growth and social inclusiveness, and apply research results to practices of socialism with Chinese characteristics, esp. the construction of the ecological civilization and the improvement of ecological environment during the Twelfth Five-year Plan.
