Effect of Schema Theory on English Reading Teaching

Reading,as an important course of language learning,has gained more and more concentration in English teaching in China.This paper introduces the nature of reading and the role played by schema theory in the reading process,and puts forward some feasible methods to improve English reading teaching according to the schema theory,which are to help teachers achieve the goal of English reading teaching and students possess a comparatively stronger ability to read.
