Effects of Ondansetron with Dexamethasone vs Ondansetron alone in Controlling Postoperative Nausea and Vomiting after Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy:A Meta-analysis

Objective To evaluate the efficacy of ondansetron in controlling postoperative nausea and vomiting after laparoscopic cholecystectomy.Methods To collect randomized controlled trials(RCT) by interventions of ondansetron plus dexamethason in controlling postoperative nausea and vomiting,Pubmed,CNKI and Wanfang electronic databases was searched,at the same time,the efficacy of ondansetron plus dexamethason was evaluated.Results 9 RCT and 625 patients were included.Meta analysis showed that the test group was better than the control group,the overall efficacy of OR and 95%CI of the total postoperative nausea and vomiting and vomiting were 0.32(0.20,0.52)and 0.25(0.13,0.50),respectively.Conclusion Ondansetron plus dexamethason can improve postoperative nausea and vomiting after laparoscopic cholecystectomy.
