Abstract
서 론 수술 후 오심과 구토(postoperative nausea and vomiting, PONV)는 수술 후 발생하는 흔한 부작용 중의 하나이다.이 것은 심각한 합병증이라고 할 수는 없지만 환자를 괴롭게 하고 불쾌하게 만드는 증상으로 심한 경우에는 탈수 및 전 해질 불균형 등으로 회복이 지연되어 퇴원이 늦어지게 된 다. 특히 외래 수술 환자의 경우에는 예정에 없던 입원을 하게 되어 의료비용이 증가되고 환자의 만족도를 떨어뜨리 는 요인으로 작용한다
