Abstract
Solid superacid WO3/ ZrO2 is prepared and used as catalyst in the synthesis of n-butyl acetate.Experiment results indicate that solid superacid WO3/ZrO2 is a highly active catalyst for the esterification reaction.The optimum reaction conditions are as following: molar ratio of acetic acid to n-butanol is 1.0∶ 1.6;the amount of catalyst used is 3.8 percent of total reaction materials amount,the reaction time is 2.0h and the yield of esterification can reach 97.09%.
