Abstract

The n-butyl acetate was obtained by the reaction of acetic acid with n-butyl alcohol, and using the rare earth solid superacid Gd3+-SO2-4/ZrO2 as catalyst. The esterification reaction was preformed to confirm the optimal conditions of preparation.Compared experiments were made using the rare earth solid superacid Gd3+-SO2-4/ZrO2 catalyst, and investigated the influences of concentrate of H2SO4,dipped time, roasted temperature on the catalytic activity, also investigated the inluences of ratio of n-butyl alcohol with acetic acid, reaction time, the mass of catalyst on the catalytic activity. The results show that n-butyl acetate are prepared by the reaction at 105~110 ℃ for 2.5 h with n-butyl alcohol∶n(acetic acid)=2.5∶1 and m(catalyst)=1.5 g,conversion of acetic acid amounts of 98.86%.Catalyst can be used repeatly with high catalytic activity, and catalytic activity of the solid superacid added Gd3+ improved apparetly.
