Abstract

Objective:To evaluate the clinical significance of the serum lactic dehydrogenase (LDH) and β2-microglobulin (β2-MG) in malignant lymphoma(ML).Method:The levels of LDH and β2-MG of 48 ML patients were detected by rate method and radioimmunoassay, respectively.Result:The serum LDH levels of ML patients had no significant difference between phase Ⅰ~Ⅱ and Ⅲ~Ⅳ(P0.05), while the serum β2-MG levels had significant difference(P0.05). The serum LDH levels had significant difference between high grade and intermediate or low grade ML patients (P0.05), while the serum β2-MG levels had no significant difference (P0.05).The levels of serum LDH andβ2-MG were obviously higher in patients with symptoms of B group and marrow infiltration than that of with no symptoms(P0.01) .After chemotherapy treatment, the levels of serum LDH andβ2-MG of patients reached complete remission or partial remission (CR or PR) were significantly decreased(P0.01).Conclusion:It might be of reference value of the levels of LDH and β2-MG in determining clinical stage, malignant grade, marrow infiltration, curative effect and prognosis in ML patients.
