Abstract
Objective To understand behaviors and lifestyles about community residents in Panyu district so as to provide an evidence for development of health education and formulating measures of intervention.Methods Totally 20 506 people above 15 years old were selected by cluster random sampling,the date were collected by using self-made survey questionnaire.SPSS 13.0 was used to perform general descriptive analysis and Chi square test.Results The prevalence of smoking among above 15-year-old residents was 20.4%;second-hand smoking rate was 36.8%;drinking rate was 10.4%,rate of stressful experience was 47.6%;physical exercising rate was 34.6%,and there were differences between man and women (P0.01).About 1/3 of the community residents had breakfast in poor quality.About half of the residents didn′t have enough vegetables,fruit,milk,and soy products.Conclusion There are still some risk factors to health for residents in Panyu district,especially the males between 45 year-old and 60.The targeted health education and intervention measures should be carried out.
