Abstract
Objective To investigate the unhealthy lifestyles of community residents in order to provide scientific evidences for health education and taking targeted intervention.Methods Systematic random sampling method was used,and a questionnaire survey about the unhealthy lifestyles was conducted in the residents aged over 15 years old in Jingtai Street community of Baiyun District in Guangzhou.The data were analyzed by SPSS 17.0.Results Among 1277 residents,the smoking rate was 18.01 percent,the drinking rate was 3.29 percent,44.71 percent of the residents lacked physical exercise,43.11 percent of the residents had not regular health examination or even without health examination,47.14 percent of the residents drank insufficient beans and dairy products every day.The main sources for the residents to obtain health knowledge included television broadcasting(37.67 percent),print media(25.22 percent),and community health education(16.21 percent).Conclusions Community residents have some unhealthy behaviors,and community nurses should implement targeted health education according to the characteristics of unhealthy behaviors among the residents in order to improve the health status of the residents.
