Comparison of dezocineand tramadol on shivering during cesaearn section surgery under combined-spinal epidural anaesthesia

Objective To compare the effects of dezocineand tramadol on shivering during cesaearn section surgery under combined-spinal epidural anaesthesia.Methods In this prospective and randomized study,sixty patients who shivered during cesaearn section surgery under combined-spinal epidural anaesthesia(CSEA) were randomly divided into two groups: group D was treated with dezocine(0.1 mg / kg,iv,n = 30),group T was treated with tramadol(1mg / kg,iv,n = 30).The drug should be given all by venousinjection after childbirth and diluted to 10 milliliter with 0.9% NaCl.The therapeutic effects and adverse effects were observed.Ramsay sedation score,mean arterial pressure(MAP),saturation of pulse oxygen(SpO2) were recorded.Results There was no significant difference between the two groups with respect to MAP,SpO2,or intensity of shivering after treatment.The number of patients whose ramsay sedation score≥3 were different between the two groups(15 VS 3,P 0.01).There was no vomiting in group D while 13 cases in group T(P 0.01).Conclusion Dezocine is better than tranmdol when treating shivering in cesaearn section under combined spinal epidural anaesthesia with few adverse effects such as nausea and vomiting.
