Restoration of residual root and crown by glassfiber post and self-adhesive universal resin cement

Objective To evaluate the effects of glassfiber Post and self-adhesive universal resin cement in restoration of residual root and crown on anterior teeth. Methods 80 residual roots and crowns after endodontically treatment were selected.Glassfilber post and self-adhesive universal resin cement combinated to fabricate post,and then restored with full crown.patients were followed up in 6 months and 12 months after treatments. Results After observation for 6 months.the success rate of 80 restorations reached 100%.After 6 months. the success rate reached 98.7%.3 teeth failed to visit.One broken post was found,restorations of the rest 76 teeth were firm and no dentine fracture was found in all restored teeth. Conclusion Glassfiber post and self-adhesive universal resin cement were be considered as good material to restore residual root and crown of anterior teeth.
