Expression of GST-π,P-gP and Oncogene(C-erbB-2) in Gastric Cancer and Its Significance

Abstract

Objective: To study the expression of GST-π,P-gP and oncogene(C-erbB-2)in gastric cancer and its significance.Methods: The gastric cancer samples(262 cases)were collected.The expression of GST-π,P-gP and C-erbB-2 in gastric cancer was detected by immunohistochemistry.Results: In the all gastric cancer samples,GST-π expressed in 169 samples(64.5%),P-gP in 167 samples(63.7%)and C-erbB-2 in 173 samples(66.0%).The expression of GST-π,P-gP had no correlation with the size,the histological category of tumor,the metastasis of the lymph nodes and clinical stages.The expression of C-erbB-2 had correlation with the size,the histological category of tumor, clinical stages but no correlation with the metastasis of the lymph nodes.Conclusion: It plays a role in the determination of chemotherapy and its prognostic by detecting the expression of GST-π,P-gP and C-erbB-2 in gastric cancer.
