Abstract

Objective To investigate the correlation between the expression of P-glycoprotein(P-gp),Glutathione-Stransferase-(GST-π)and gastric cancer. Methods The expression of P-gp and GST-πwere detected in 64cases of gastric cancer patients who underwent gastric surgery with immunohistochemical method, and their corresponding clinical data were comprehensively analyzed. Results The expressions of P-gp and GST-πin gastric cancer were 48(75.0%)and 44(68.8%),respectively.There was positive correlation between the expression of P-gp and depth of cancer infiltration, lymphatic metastasis(P0.05).The expression of GST-πincreased with the degree of malignancy(P0.05).There was no statistical difference between subgroups divided by the expression of P-gp and GST-π(P0.05).Conclusion Detection of P-gp and GST-πexpression are of great significance for clinicopathological features of gastric cancer, and can not serve as a valuable indicator of prognosis in gastric cancer patients who undergo radical correction.
