Abstract
Objective To study the relationship between the expression of GST-π and P-gp and pathological characteristics of gastric cancer. Methods The expressions of GST-π and P-gp in tumor specimens from patients with gastric cancer were detected by immunohistochemistry. Results The positive expression of GST-π was detected in 171 of 209 gastric cancer samples(81.82%)and was related to lymph node involvement(P0.05).The positive expression of P-gp was detected in 167 of 209 gastric cancer samples(79.90%)and was higher in signet ring cell carcinoma(P0.05).There was significant relationship between GST-π and P-gp expression(P0.05).Conclusion The expression levels of GST-π and P-gp have closely relationships with biological behavior of human gastric cancer.
