Abstract
A comparative investigation was carried out on the extraction of saponins from Polygonatum sibiricun with three methods: hot water bath refluxing, ultrasonic wave aided extraction, and microwave aided extraction.Ultrasonic wave aided extraction was selected as an optimal method with the advantages of efficiency, safty, low cost, and non-damage of saponins.Using the content of ginsenoside Rb1 as an indictor, the optimal ultrasonic wave aided extraction conditions were determined as: solvent: 80 % ethanol, times of extraction: 2,temperature: 60 ℃,time of extraction: 50 minutes, and the ratio of material to solvent: 1∶15.Under the optimal conditions, the content of saponis in the extract was over 3.4%.Extraction temperature exhibited significant influence on the extraction, and time and the ratio did not show significant influence on the extraction.
