Abstract
Objective To study the influence of atorvastatin for 3 days on hs-CRP and lipiemic levels for patients with unstable angina. Methods 94 patients with unstable angina in Ankang Central Hospital were random-ized into two groups from May of 2003 to May of 2004:control group and atorvastatin group(20mg/d)for 3 days, then check and compare the changes of hs-CRP and lipiemic levels of the two groups.Result After 3 days administration of atorvastatin, the level of hs-CRP was reduced(P0.01),but no distinct differences between lipiemic levels of the 2 groups occured. Conclusion Atorvastatin for 3 days for patients with unstable angina could reduce the hs-CRP levels and decrease the inflammation of the patients with cornary disease. It promotes the stablization of the atheroselerotic plague, without depending on the change of lipiemic levels.
