Research on the Current Situation,Problems and Countermeasures about the Sports Activities of Rural Citizens in Western Region under the Circumstance of Building New Rural Areas

In order to comprehensively understand the current situation of rural citizen's sports activities in the western region,the paper took 12 provinces,autonomous regions,municipalities and administrative villages as the research objects.With the method of literature review,questionnaire,interview and statistics,the paper conducted wide social research on the sports activities and sports demand of the rural citizens in the west region,and analyzed the research results.Then it concluded that the rural citizens had poor sports awareness and healthy awareness,low sports needs etc.Those problems were caused not only by public sports service delivery but also by citizen's demand.The countermeasures of promoting participation of sports in western rural areas were to serve for new rural areas construction,make full use of local sports resources,improve demand of rural citizens,and strengthen public sports service supply.
