Abstract
Objective To study the expression of heparanase in the pathogenesis and development of human cervical cancer.Methods Immunohistochemical SP methods was used to detect the expression of heparanase protein in 58 cases of normal cervical epithelium,cervical intraepithelial neoplasm(CIN) and cervicals quamous cell carcinoma.Results The positive rates of expression of heparanase protein in 58 cases of normal cervical epithelium,cervical intraepithelial neoplasm(CIN) and cervicals quamous cell carcinoma were 7.14%(1/14),33.33%(6/18) and 84.62%(22/26),respectively.There were significant differences among the three groups(P0.05).Conclusion The expression of heparanase protein may be involved in the pathogenesis and development of cervical cancer.It may be used as marker in the diagnosis,treatment and prognostic evaluation.
