Kang Hai′s Literary Achievements and His Status in the Mid-Ming Dynasty Literature

Kang Hai was an very important writer in the Mid-Ming Dynasty,but because of his frank personality,influenced by the Liu Jin Incident,he became over indulgent after his returning home,which led to the misunderstanding of him from the descendents but his literature achievements and position were not affected.Through an analysis of his literary thought,literary works and the evaluation from the contemporary people,the paper concludes that he is as important as Li Mengyang in the Ming Dynasty and they co-led the retro movement of literature.They made great contributions to the Mid-Ming literature.
