Kang Hai is an important writer among the early seven scholars in the Ming Dynasty. He is not only famous for his dramas and verses but for his poetry writings. His poetry is rich in thoughts and striking artistic features, with asynicism, the sufferings of the public, the melencholy mental history and pastoralism as the major contents. He expresses his minds directly and naturally and is a representative of his group of poets.
