Analysis on efficacy of two types of operation in treating varicose great saphenous vein

Objective:To explore the great saphenous varicose veins radical surgical methods.Methods:From January 2003 to January 2008,the great saphenous vein ligation and subparagraph percutaneous suturing ligation were used for the treatment of 143 cases of varicose great saphenous vein(group A) and compared with the traditional radical varicose great saphenous vein surgery(group B 143 cases).Results:All patients were recovered and discharged from hospital.There were three cases of hospital infection of incisional wound,1 cases in group A,two cases in group B,healed after dressing change,extension discharge.Followed-up 263 cases,133 cases in group A,130 cases in group B.Group A had local recurrence in 3 cases,group B had four cases,and other clinical symptoms and signs disappeared with satisfactory result.Conclusion:Saphenous vein ligation and ligation subparagraph percutaneous suturing techniques are easy to operate with simple surgical procedures,little trauma,quick recovery,and good radical effect radical.They are safe and effective methods.
