Abstract

Xing Qing(disposition),Lin Xing(spiritualism) and Qing Xing(affection) are the three core categories of classical Chinese aesthetics,which can be borrowed into the research on translator's aesthetic cognitive model.A translator will leave the tracks of cognizing and receiving Chinese cultural history and Taoist thoughts by the application of foreignization in the translated versions.Deeply influenced by Chinese poetics,Stephen Owen reveals his poetic cognitive capability in the loyalty to Chinese aesthetic thoughts and his open aesthetic mind.
