Abstract
Objective To compare the effects of Ondansetron,Droperidol and Metoclopramide used alone or in combination in prevention of postoperative nausea and vomiting(PONV)of patients with gynecology tumors. Methods Totally 160 patients with gynecology tumors were divided randomly into four groups:the patients in group A were given Ondansetron 8 mg after occurrence of PONV,the patients in group B were given Ondansetron 8 mg after operation, the patients in group C were given Droperidol 5 mg plus Metoclopramide 20 mg,the patients in group D were first given Ondansetron 8 mg and then Droperidol 5 mg plus Metoclopramide 20 mg.the total incidences of PONV 48 h after operation in the four groups were compared. Results The incidences of PONV in 4 groups within 48h of postoperation were 52.5% in group A;25.0%2 in group B;27.5% in group C and 7.5% in group D,the effect of prevention in group D was best,as compared with other three groups(P0.05).Conclusion The effect of combined administration of Ondansetron,Droperidol and Metoclopramide in prevention of postoperative nausea and vomiting by epidural analgesia of postoperation is better than any single one or combination of any two.
